Robert Louis Stevenson School
Stevenson School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher for the 21/22 school year. The successful candidate will teach five sections of Spanish classes, and contribute to the co-curricular life of the school. All Stevenson teachers serve as an advisor to a small group of students and offer co-curricular activities in two of the three sports seasons (activities include athletics coaching, outdoor education, theater, and supervision a range of other clubs and activities). Stevenson’s Language Department promotes critical thinking, responsible scholarship, and creative expression within an imaginative curriculum. In a seminar setting, we model a learning environment framed on the values of inquiry, mutual respect, and cooperative support. The program emphasizes the content and skills necessary for students to find success in college and beyond. Further expectations:

Additional Salary Information: Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and education level, and includes meals when school is in sessions. Stevenson provides an excellent, comprehensive benefits package, a variety of health insurance offerings, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability offerings, and HSA/FSA options. Retirement benefits were suspended for 2020/21 due to the financial impact of the pandemic but will be reinstated as conditions improve. Resources to support advanced degree work, as well as participation in professional conferences, workshops, summer study, and travel, are also available. As Stevenson is a boarding school there may be an opportunity to participate in our boarding program, for which accommodation (plus utilities) is provided.
