Drew University is seeking Admission Counselors. This position will work in collaboration with the Dean of Enrollment Management, and will assist in the development and execution of an effective strategy to recruit and admit students to the College of Liberal Arts. The Admissions Counselor will identify, recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified students to the Drew University.
Seek out and develop strong relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection Process.
Plan and execute territory-related recruitment events such as high school visits, college fairs, national fairs and on-campus events
Initiate, maintain, and record contact with prospective students throughout the enrollment process
Review applications and make admissions recommendations.
Counsel prospective students and families on the application process, financial aid information, and opportunities at the University
Convert prospective students into applicants and applicants into yielded admissions
Create and maintain relationships with high school guidance counselors
Required Education and Experience:
This is an entry-level position; experience in admissions, higher education, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
History of applied skills in customer service
Able to show successful critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to be independent and work well amongst team members
A valid driver’s license
