Provides short-term, culturally sensitive counseling and mental health services to enrolled students including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation with faculty, staff, students, and concerned others, outreach and psychoeducation to the university community. Provides referral services and liaison activities.
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or an equivalent field from a discipline-accredited program. Independently licensed in State of Ohio as LPCC with ability to become LPCC-S within 18 months of hire. Demonstrated expert knowledge of Mental Health needs and concerns of the college age population. Proven success in working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evident of commitment to foster equity, inclusion, and collaborative multicultural environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including respect for all aspects of an individual's identity, ability to resolve conflict, clear personal and professional boundaries, and ability to work collegially and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team process. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records, document client condition, problems, treatments, and outcomes promptly.
Currently licensed as an LPCC-S in State of Ohio. Demonstrated prior Clinical Experience within a university setting, including providing on-call and crisis response and previous experience in clinical supervision and training of Graduate students in Counseling. Experience documenting all clinical encounters in an Electronic Health Record, especially Titanium Schedule. Articulated passion for promoting holistic well-being and enhancing student learning. Experience and flexibility in implementing outreach programs during business, evening and weekends to best meet student needs.
