Texas A&M University- San Antonio invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counseling faculty position in the Department of Counseling, Health, and Kinesiology to begin Fall 2021. Applicants must be certified in School Counseling and have documented experience as a Professional School Counselor in a public-school setting. The successful candidate will teach graduate classes in the Counseling Program and will assist in the development/teaching of School Counseling; maintain an active research agenda; supervise master's level students; assist with CACREP accreditation process; fulfill service responsibilities to the Department and the University; and contribute to advancing the counseling profession. Responsibilities also include working collaboratively with other colleagues in the Department, the College of Education and Human Development, and the University; as well as with community partners.
