Under minimal supervision, manages a WIC Clinic with multiple Registered Dietitians and WIC counselors. Directly supervises professional and paraprofessional staff. Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the clinic including coordination of the activities of all staff. Enforces WIC Program and Denver Health policies and procedures. Responsible for quality assurance and implementing policy/program changes. Ensures appropriate nutritional care is provided and delivers direct client services as needed. Participates in program planning, evaluation, and other program-wide responsibilities with the WIC Program Manager. Responsible for implementation of WIC Program initiatives at the clinic site.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Strong supervisory and team-building skills. Knowledge of human nutrition in health and disease and its application to public health practices. Knowledge of nutrition needs for infants and children and women during prenatal, postpartum, and breastfeeding stages. Effective counseling and education skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. ~1.) Must be a Registered Dietitian and comply with the requirements established and validated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration 2.) Speciality certifications established and validated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred. 3.) Certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor as established and validated by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice strongly preferred. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic Association approved program. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years related experience in community or public health nutrition, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years supervisory experience and a minimum of 1 year of WIC experience preferred.
* Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association (Required) . Registered Dietitian certification required.2. BLS -Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association required.3. Lactation certification preferred.
