Oak Hill Academy is seeking a candidate to assume the position of Dean of Girls’ Resident Life. This person serves on the Administrative Council and reports to the Director of Student Affairs. The starting date is January 1, 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Dean of Girls’ Resident Life supervises and manages the girls’ residential life program at Oak Hill, and is responsible for the girls’ dormitory and facilities. Excellent communication skills are a requisite, along with the ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff in a small community with a unique mission. The position also requires regular problem-solving, organization, counseling skills, and the ability to foster and maintain positive morale among female students. The Director of Girls’ Resident Life coordinates, supervises, and evaluates the duties of three Resident Manager staff who report directly to the Dean of Girls’ Resident Life. A bachelor’s or advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
The Dean of Girls’ Resident Life supervises conduct of all female students, and administers any disciplinary measures as needed.
Candidates will reside on campus and—given the required time for managing a 24/7 facility—must possess the energy and enthusiasm this senior-level position requires. On-call responsibilities are inherent with the responsibilities of the position.
Additional Salary Information: Insurance, retirement, campus housing, and meals are offered in addition to cash salary.
