Overview Touro College invites applications for a full-time Assistant to the Registrar for Degree Audit Unit position in the Registrar's Office. Touro College is seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, who is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy, to perform graduation audit for multiple undergraduate, graduate and professional schools.
Provides administrative support to the Graduation Audit Specialists.
Develops and maintains a highly detailed level of knowledge regarding all academic programs.
Performs preliminary degree audit of all students who have applied for graduation, for assigned programs.
Troubleshoots technical and academic questions regarding academic records in order to provide customer service regarding the students review record process.
Works closely with the deans and advisors in the certification process.
Generates post-graduation reports and data analysis.
Serves as a backup for diploma distribution and enrollment and graduation statuses verifications via Degree Verify system to National Student Clearinghouse.
Provides high-quality customer service in all aspects of the position.
Exercises duties in accordance with FERPA as well as state and federal regulations.
All other tasks assign by the supervisor.
Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Customer service experience, especially with an assertive clientele.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to employ logic to solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to process large volumes of work, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Experience with degree evaluation and/or student information system software.
Experience with Ellucian Banner student information system.
Experience with academic programs and their requirements.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.
Work experience that required logic in dealing with complexity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
