Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is seeking an Assistant Site Director to develop and advocate on behalf of the resident learner experience at Kettering Medical Center. This position will work with and report to the Surgery Residency Program Director. This opportunity will require privileges to and reasonable expectations of familiarity of, on-going professional services performed at, and interest in the resident learning experience within Kettering Medical Center.
By an agreed start date you have, or will have, all of the following – 1. Active Admitting Privileges at Kettering Medical Center; 2. MD or DO degree; 3. Completion of an accredited Surgery Residency; 4. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery; 5. DEA Registration; 6. Ohio Medical License.
All candidates will be reviewed for their capacity to reasonably and effectively fulfill this Assistant Site Director role with regards to the portion(s) of their professional services / practice intentions at Kettering Medical Center.

Demonstrated interest in promoting an exceptional learning environment for WSUBSOM surgery residents and medical students. This oversight will extend from the inpatient ward, operating room, emergency room and physician offices at the facility. Ability to work with the Program Director is essential.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
Of the approximate 0.10 FTE commitment - (75%) Direct supervision of Surgery residents. (15%) Administrative reporting on residents and rotations to include participation in weekly conferences held at the facility. (5%) Annual resident recruitment. (5%) Faculty Advisor for WSUBSOM medical students.
This position implied clinical assignments in hospitals and/or ambulatory clinics.
Special contract position with continuation dependent on funding.
