Ashland Community and Technical College invites applications for a Student Development Specialist in the Student Support Services grant. This grant-funded position will work at both the College Drive Campus and the Technology Drive Campus, the successful applicant must have the ability to travel to each location.
Duties include but are not limited to serving as an advisor for students in the SSS program, assisting with student data management, leading the planning and implementation of student engagement activities, creating and presenting student success workshops on various topics including financial literacy, time management, motivation, etc. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty. Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and work efficiently and autonomously without constant supervision. Computer skills are required with an emphasis on spreadsheets and database management. Prefer experience in a program comparable to the operations of SSS including experience with Blumen data tracking system. A former SSS participant or someone from a similar background and experience working with diverse student populations is ideal.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in social work/related area or any bachelor's degree with three years of experience in a service coordination capacity.
