![]() Clinical Geneticist Faculty Member 20-21 Pediatric Clinical Geneticist Faculty Position UC Davis Children's Hospital School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Genomic Medicine The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis is seeking to recruit a full-time academic clinical geneticist faculty member in the Division of Genomic Medicine. The Division of Genomic Medicine is composed of 5 clinical faculty, 3 physician-scientists, 4 genetic counselors, a genetic counseling assistant, a nutritionist, a clinical research coordinator and several student volunteers. Specific areas of interest of the Division include genomic medicine, precision genomics, RASopathies, neurodevelopmental/autism genomics, biochemical genetics, enzyme replacement for lysosomal storage disorders, cardiovascular genomics, craniofacial genetics, connective tissue disorders, skeletal dysplasias and TeleGenomics. Genomic Medicine is housed at the MIND Institute at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. The MIND Institute was founded in 1998 as a unique interdisciplinary research center where parents, community leaders, researchers, clinicians and volunteers collaborate to study and treat autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The institute has major research efforts in autism, Tourette Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Chromosome 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the RASopathies. This position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Health Science Clinical Professor Series, a series with a focused effort in clinical care and teaching. The candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics, community outreach and serve on certain departmental committees.
