Under supervision, the Front Desk Check In is responsible for check-in and check-out services, customer service, registration, appointment scheduling and insurance verification. Typical duties include answering multi-line incoming customer calls, completing online registration, scheduling appointments and securing authorization for scheduled services. May perform other related duties as assigned.
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or similar function.
Previous experience directly related Call Center and Registration in a large complex healthcare setting.
Experience with Front Desk Operations/Check in and Check out/Epic inboxes.
Cadence experience or similar function.
Demonstrated experience with patient check-in and cash handling.
Experience with all Primary Care lines of business and outpatient clinics.
Experience with all UCSD contracted MCal referral processes.
Experience with Government (TriCare) referral processes.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
