Bethel University seeks an innovative, experienced leader to serve as the program director of Bethel’s Master of Physician Assistant (PA) program to be offered in the Graduate School. The Program Director is responsible for providing oversight, coordination and programmatic leadership to ensure the efficient operation of the PA Program This person must be knowledgeable about and responsible for program organization, administration, fiscal management, continuous review and analysis, planning, and development.
Oversee and facilitate curriculum development
Oversee assessment plan
Initiate and oversee curricular change as assessment indicates to ensure integrity. efficacy, and relevance
Assist in new faculty hiring process and orientation
Assign instructors to courses; supervise and evaluate instructors
Intentional communication with faculty and staff
Communication with Divisional Dean/Academic Dean/VP as appropriate
Assist admission team with marketing
Recruitment and admission events
Interact with internal and external audiences for program promotion
Explore and respond to trends for discipline
Clinical site relations & medical community advocacy
Maintain teaching load in program/research advisor
In collaboration with the Office of Student Success, adjudicate student academic and professional issues as needed
In collaboration with the Office of Admissions, provide oversight of admission process
Assist with calendar development, enrollment, and budget planning
Licensure and credentialing requirement for graduates
Participate in meetings and committees as required
Program Accreditation: Lead program personnel in applying and qualifying for program accreditation, and plan for and secure curriculum and accreditation required clinical partnerships.
Leadership or management level professional experience in a high standards performance-based work environment is preferred
At least three years of full-time higher education experience at the time of appointment
Must hold current or emeritus NCCPA certification
Proven achievement in an academic area or discipline
Experience that demonstrates both a broad and in-depth understanding of how organizations accomplish their work and would have experience with organizational transitions and/or development.
Demonstrate evidence of a strong commitment to quality working relationships, exhibiting warmth, excellence, and Christ-like behavior in performance of their work.
Possess experience handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) like Moodle, eCollege, Blackboard, etc. is desirable.
Experience in education and/or business-related organizations is a plus.
