REPORTS TO: Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs
This senior academic administrator reflects and supports the University's mission of preparing men and women to make an impact through their calling by providing an exceptional Christ-centered education within the finest instructional and learning environment.
Working collaboratively with department chairs and faculty, the Dean directs the development, assessment, budgeting and oversight of all the College's academic programs and initiatives. Representing Education, as well as Arts and Sciences, the Dean communicates a compelling vision for the many departments and their programs that support the University's mission and strategic plan.
Establishes goals for the College and ensures that these goals are consistent with the mission and strategic plan of LeTourneau University and that they have measurable benchmarks for success;
Interprets the University's vision to the departments as well as the departments' visions to the University;
Works with department chairs in the development of departmental mission and vision statements and the development and assessment of departmental goals and learning outcomes;
Develops and maintains strong partnerships and relationships with dual credit high schools, alumni, businesses, organizations, and donors;
Oversees the recruitment, development, and performance of full time and adjunct faculty who teach in the traditional residential programs, nontraditional education courses, as well as the dual credit programs;
Provides academic oversight for LETU’s Dual Credit Program;
Works with LETU Enrollment Services in the recruitment of new students and then works with faculty and other university offices to retain those students to graduation;
Achieves enrollment growth with new program development and successful implementation of initiatives;
Provides institutional leadership for the management, assessment, and improvement of the university’s General Education program;
Provides institutional leadership for initiatives related to transferability;
Serves as College’s chief budget officer;
Supervises three Academic Support personnel.
