The position will travel extensively, necessitating weekend and evening work, and will maintain direct contact with high school counselors and prospective students. Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities include: Knowledge of admissions, student services such as financial aid, testing, counseling, placement, and housing; ability to travel extensively; computer literacy; ability to independently make admissions decisions; ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and in public speaking; and the ability to interpret and explain university and state rules, regulations and policies in specific admissions cases.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s preferred.
Previous admissions experience is preferred. Must be eligible for and/or possess a valid North Carolina driver license. Must be able to lift and/or move medium to heavy objects when setting up recruiting events.
