This is a part-time, intermittent generalist therapist position responsible for providing mental health services to student clients at Counseling and Psychological Services for the fall and spring terms. Two part-time positions are available.
1. Provide on-going individual, couples, and group counseling appointments, initial intake/drop-in appointments, crisis interventions, and consultation.
2. Utilize Titanium to maintain electronic case notes and documentation of services following Privacy guidelines.
The Counselor is expected to practice in a manner that is consistent with level of training and expertise according to ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
The Counselor is expected to collaborate with faculty, administrators, Student Affairs staff and parents to assist with mental health needs of students.
The Counselor will engage in face to face as well as phone consultations to address situations that require crisis responses and referrals on an as needed basis.
The Counselor is expected to adhere to the diversity mission of the center as articulated in the center’s diversity statement.
Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology, or closely related study; 2 year of clinical experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be licensed as a LISW, PC/PCC or psychologist in Ohio at date of appointment.
