Director of Pricing Strategy & Analytics is part of the First Clearing sales channel. The sales channel structure also includes Market Development and Support, Risk & Quality, Business Initiatives, Product & Advisor Support, and Business Development & Client Services. A core component of the First Clearing model its pricing strategy to retain and grow the business with non-affiliated broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisor's (RIA) as well as client performance management. The Director of Pricing Strategy & Analytics leads this directive and serves as the liaison to the Finance team.
First Clearing is looking for a dynamic, client experience focused leader to join the team. This role will be responsible for building out and leading the pricing strategies and execution of contract negotiations in partnership with the First Clearing leadership team and Enterprise Finance to support First Clearing's current and future growth as well as managing all day-to-day analytics functions for First Clearing. Balance the ability to be a visionary with the ability to create and execute on a data and reporting structure, which supports internal leadership strategy and tactical decisions. Utilizing analytics to assess competitive positioning and structure future looking initiatives. Partner internally across First Clearing and WFA as well as into the field. Tell a meaningful story and craft strategy from data.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Partner with the First Clearing leadership team to lead pricing negotiations for First Clearing's current and future client firms and RIA's
Negotiate the pricing for First Clearing's custodial services and other Wells Fargo product offerings with non-affiliated broker-dealer and RIA practices
Serve as the liaison with Enterprise Finance and partner closely with the Billing Team for First Clearing's broker-dealer client firms
Partner closely with the Enterprise Technology team supporting the Advisor Compensation Billing System on future releases for maintenance and added functionality
Manage the channel specific pricing strategy, as well as leading the ongoing analysis and reporting to the field and Senior Leadership; partner across channels to understand and leverage the strategies in use across WFA's multi-channel footprint
Partner across First Clearing teams and key partner groups (Finance, Comp and Billing, Product, etc.) to develop a trend awareness and analysis culture to better track and understand field behavior and also make recommendations for new strategies or initiatives
Partner with Finance to develop a meaningful ongoing understanding of First Clearing's position in the competitive landscape with quarterly report outs to Senior Leadership
Partner across Recruiting, Services & Ops and Finance to support the pro forma and deal processes. This includes upfront deal analysis as well as an ongoing monitoring, reporting and risk management of non-affiliated broker-dealer & RIA incentives along with potential loan programs
Representing First Clearing on initiatives and possibly key cross WFA or WIM committees will also be a component of the role. In addition this leader will be a field and potentially industry-facing representative of First Clearing. Daily interactions with the field will be the norm and participation in Due Diligence, Principal's Forum, RIA Pioneer Forum, Post-Integration and Channel Transfer meetings will be a standard part of the role as well.
10+ years of securities industry experience
Experience as a senior leader

Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives

Other Desired Qualifications
Proven experience with trend analysis and the ability to derive strategic direction and initiatives from that analysis
Experience managing strategy for a business unit
Working knowledge of pricing and incentive strategies across the clearing and custody industry
Experience working in an independent brokerage channel strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience working with ISI and Wells Fargo Oracle Data Warehouse (ODW) strongly preferred
Ability to travel 40% of the time
For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
