ACADEMIC SUPPORT (KO-ACSP-IUKOA)
Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for two positions of Testing and Advising Support Specialist for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to: administer tests and monitor testing processes in the campus testing center such that valid results are assured; schedule appointments for placement tests, accessibility services exams, make-up tests, and other tests assigned; handle the daily responsibilities associated with testing; provide clerical support for the Office of Student Success and Advising; assist with clerical duties associated with advising, new student orientation, and convocation; schedule appointments for advisors.
High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in clerical or secretarial work.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Organizational skills. Ability to work independently in an often-solitary environment, including ability to effectively multitask and complete detailed work, with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality.
Working Conditions / Demands
Intermittent weekend work is required.
Up to 29 hours per week, with work hours beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 7:00 p.m.
