May manage or supervise a small group. Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis. Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems. Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.
Responsible for the alignment, adoption, and sustainable adherence to best-in-class data management practices in Credit Risk (inclusive of internal and external data management requirements as the baseline) with specific focus on governance routines. This is an enterprise role and covers all of Credit Risk and all aspects of data management.
Position requires close working relationships and consultations across Credit Risk business and technology partners, peer groups within Credit Risk Data Management, other teams within CRISA, and the broader data community within Bank of America. Position also requires the development of a deep understanding of the end-to-end Credit Risk reporting processes and technology infrastructure, from LOB data capture and transport, through aggregation, transformation, and reporting and distribution to downstream data consumers.
Key responsibilities will be:
• Establish and build trusted advisor relationship with the Consumer Credit Risk team. • Determine data management universe and data management needs • Act as subject matter expert on Credit Risk data management practices and how they apply • Identify opportunities to strengthen data management practices and develop implementation approach. • Establish relevant metrics to measure progress and sustainment. • Perform quality control testing on artifacts submitted as evidence of compliance, ensuring the artifact is complete, appropriate, and consistent across Credit Risk
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years leadership experience in data management and governance
Demonstrated analytical and execution skills
Demonstrated success driving results through effective project management, often managing in a matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and garner consensus from multiple partners
Proven strong partnership and relationship management skills with the ability to influence and partner with teammates across functional and organizational boundaries and levels
Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical business teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to transform complex concepts into simple and easy to understand presentations
Must be highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with Credit Risk and Risk reporting processes, preferably across wholesale and retail data domains
Experience with business process design and practical implementation
