Responsible to drive the provider engagement strategy through strategic relationship development.
Ensuring the services and value offerings of the MSO or payer are clearly understood by providers, and utilizing change management techniques to facilitate provider practices shift from volume to value-based care.
Responsible to lead, manage, drive, and mentor the provider outreach team to achieve and exceed all goals and accountabilities.
Responsible for the recruitment, development, motivation, and retention of employees to achieve policies and objectives as well as maintain their current and increasing level of population health and managed care knowledge.
Oversees the provider outreach team strategies and focus to ensure outreach supports driving provider engagement in the network.
Responsible for planning and development of the staff Education Plan. Oversees the orientation of new staff.
Responsible for working with affiliated payers/plans and other MSO departments to develop team and/or provider educational materials for various initiatives requiring outreach to network providers. Ensures each member of the outreach team is fully trained for any new initiatives being deployed to network providers.
Engages in the recruitment of strategic practices into the networks that the MSO supports.
Develops recruitment plans and works with network leadership to ensure recruitment efforts align with strategic priorities.
Builds tracking and reporting spreadsheets as needed to keep key stakeholders appraised of recruitment status.
Oversees the creation of, updates to, and distribution of the provider information flyers and applicable Provider Information Booklets.
Coordinates with communications teams and payer teams as needed to complete approval processes based on payer and MSO standard operating procedures.
Oversees the distribution and summary of provider office satisfaction surveys as applicable.
Responsible for the distribution or approval of all network communications including mailings, emails, fax blasts or direct office delivery.
Responsible for working with internal and external partners to determine optimal provider engagement strategies.
Continuously safeguards the liability exposure through the monitoring of compliance with the relevant policies and procedures, and state and federal requirements as they pertain to network providers.
Manages the overall operations, billing, and performance reporting for the Population Health Assistants (PHA) program as needed to support MSO payer programs including Clinical Documentation Integrity. Coordinates with temp agencies as needed to staff PHAs.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Bachelorâ™s degree in health services administration, business or related field,
Five yearsâ™ previous provider relations experience.
Management and leadership skills including delegating, coaching, mentoring, and disciplining.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
Strong knowledge of provider credentialing and recredentially processes.
Ability to generate management and production reports, documents and correspondence independently.
Ability to maintain a thorough and current knowledge of the provider network and larger market area.
Ability to maintain administrative and management skill supported by interpersonal, as well as excellent verbal and written proficiencies.
This position is responsible for managing the MSO Population Management Advisors (PMA) (collectively âœprovider outreach & engagementâ) functions and interfaces with all levels of leadership and the provider networks. The manager is responsible for the engagement of the provider networks served and must work directly with physicians on a daily basis. This highly strategic role is focused on engaging network providers in value based practice transformation and achieving the triple aim. The manager is accountable for increasing relationships and strategic engagement, while also recruiting new practices into the networks supported by the MSO.
