UC Clermont is looking for qualified individuals to apply for the Clinical Counselor Position and join our energetic, multidisciplinary, collaborative team of mental health professionals.
Essential Function: This position would serve UC Clermont, a two-year regional campus of the University of Cincinnati, and be a member of the Counseling and Psychological Serves (UC-CAPS) team. Under general supervision from a designated administrator, provide direct clinical counseling services to university students. Develop and provide outreach to the university community, and build a supportive community for the academic success and well-being of students.
UC Clermont is located in Batavia, Ohio and enrolls approximately 2800 students.
Provide direct counseling services to university students, including intake evaluation, counseling, and emergency management
Provide consultation to university community concerned about a student
Develop and provide outreach to students, faculty, and staff
Serve as liaison for counseling center to the university community and community agencies
Participate in training program(s) within the counseling center
Develop and coordinates programs within the counseling center
Collect data for program coordination
Keep abreast of developments in professional field, related to student mental health, cultural competency and equitable access to services
Represent the department on committees
Perform related duties based on departmental need
Master's degree with three (3) years clinical counseling experience
State licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation(PCC-S) -OR- state licensure as a Professional Counselor (PC) and current enrollment in a doctoral program in a counseling field
Experience working in a college or university counseling center or other academic environment
Experience working as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team
Direct service provision to two-year or community college students
Familiarity working with underprepared students and students who identify from Appalachian backgrounds
Familiarity with trauma-informed interventions
