The NCCHW Healthy Aging Strategy Director for the North Carolina Center for Health and Wellness (NCCHW) will provide leadership in developing strategies and implementing plans for NCCHW's current and future business within the Healthy Aging NC initiative. Activities of this position include: supporting 16 Area Agencies on Aging in formalizing a single point of contracting for healthcare reimbursement; assessing current information technology integration systems between clinical and community entities in NC; soliciting vendor proposals to improve information technology integration; conduct outreach and develop relationships with NC health insurers; and develop and present business plans to potential investors. NCCHW's Healthy Aging NC initiative is the statewide network hub for evidence-based programs that support chronic disease management and falls prevention. Since its inception in 2016, the Healthy Aging NC initiative has supported the delivery of over 800 programs, enrolled over 11,000 North Carolinians, and built capacity of programming in all 100 NC counties. This position will connect NCCHW's Healthy Aging NC initiative to investments in healthcare reform.
Minimum Education/Experience/Skill :
This position requires possession of Master's degree.
Eight years of experience in strategic/business development, strategic planning, market or product development, financial analysis or general corporate affairs.
Experience developing and implementing complex business and/or contractual relationships and serving as the principal liaison to business executives, internal and external, and other outside advisors.
Significant success and experience identifying new opportunities, creating solutions and driving change.
Must reside in North Carolina with ability to travel within the state.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skill :
Senior leadership experience at a not-for-profit, healthcare or health insurance, or government agency.
Familiarity with social and behavioral determinants of health.
Familiarity with home and community care block grant services delivered through the aging services network.
Familiarity with key risk management concepts.
Experience in network management.
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursements methodologies.
Preference for candidates residing in or near a metropolitan area such as Asheville, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, or Raleigh.
