Reporting to the Vice President of Academic & Student Programs, the Dean is the senior academic and management leader for the College of Chiropractic. The Dean is responsible for leadership of the faculty and development of programming offering through the College of Chiropractic.
The Dean will provide specific leadership in setting strategic direction of the college in support of the University's strategic goals, ensuring that the college is offering a vibrant, current and effective curriculum, budgeting, allocation of resources, development of a high performing culture within the college, and the continuous improvement of outcomes to support both the college's and NWHSU's goals and mission. The Dean, College of Chiropractic is a working leader and must have the ability to build and maintain strong and collegial relationships with faculty, students, and other campus constituents. The Dean is a member of the President's Cabinet, Academic Council, and Clinic Quality Assurance.

Qualifications: Candidates will have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and 10+ years of experience leading and managing faculty in a higher education setting. Ideally the Dean has experience in health care education settings. This position also requires experience interviewing, hiring and training faculty and staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; 7+ years management experience; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Candidates are preferred to have three years of experience teaching in a college or university.
