The incumbent will coordinate patient billing staff to process hospital patient account billing and collection activities for all payors. Receives and responds to escalated patient account issues related to insurance claim processing. Coordinates and monitor department workflows related to patient accounting inventory management. Recommends new and revised workflows as needed.
The incumbent will also direct subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Mentors and trains direct reports for all department procedures and systems ensuring compliance with internal policy and external agency regulations. Acquire and maintain knowledge of third-party contracts and billing/collections requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent experience training.
A minimum of three (3+) or more years of relevant experience in hospital billing and collections.
Experience and proven success in the ability to supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of subordinate staff and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Hospital Revenue Cycle business office experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
