  • Instruct classes in the Additions Counseling Education utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational goals.
  • Participate in relevant department assessment activities.
  • Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Social Sciences field.
  • 3 years clinical experience as an addictions counselor
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and economically diverse backgrounds.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Master's degree in a Social Sciences field.
  • Experience using a variety of teaching and assessment techniques - including the use of technology - that enhance student success.
  • Interest in pursuing professional development opportunities as available.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
