The postdoc will gain experience in clinical research, with opportunities ranging from characterization of strengths and challenges, instrument development, evaluation of community-based programs and adapting intervention programs. Postdoc will be actively engaged in writing grants and manuscripts. Balance of responsibilities will depend on a candidate's previous experience and his/her training and career goals.
At Rutgers, Postdocs will have access to a variety of training and scholarly activities related to ASD and related fields (e.g., clinical and research seminars, lab meetings, case conferences, advanced training for autism diagnostic assessments). Clinical supervision can be provided for individuals seeking to complete Psychology licensure requirements
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD in clinical psychology or closely related field Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., R, MPlus, SAS, SPSS)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Completed APA-Accredited internship Competency in statistical analysis of clinical data (e.g., multilevel modeling, factor analysis) Previous experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for ASD (e.g., ADI-R, ADOS, cognitive testing). Experience working with individuals who are minimally verbal and/or have Intellectual Disability
